Dr. Amanda de Armas, PsyD, is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist from the Ponce Health Sciences University at Ponce. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico. With a strong commitment to evidence-based practices in both assessment and treatment, she establishes a supportive and non-judgmental environment for personal growth, fostering mental wellness. Dr. de Armas has many years of experience in providing individual, group, and family psychotherapy to children, adolescents, adults, and elderly clients. Her goal is to guide each person towards a more fulfilling life.

Specializing in diverse mental health concerns like ADHD, anger management, anorexia nervosa, and anxiety, along with conditions such as Asperger’s syndrome, autism, and bipolar disorder, she offers extensive expertise. Her therapy techniques encompass Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Based Therapy, Play/Game Therapy, and Art Therapy. She also addresses specific issues like behavioral problems, binge-eating disorder, borderline personality disorder (BPD), dual diagnosis, oppositional defiance, and women’s issues.
